Today’s guest is one of my personal heros rocking her life and business, Lisa Davenport.  In this episode, she shares so much advice to new and aspiring entrepreneurs in this unfiltered interview. Even if you aren’t in the design business or have a design background, you will want to listen as she shares her success principles, mindset, and action steps to taking your idea and turning it into a profitable reality.  She talks about her failures, why they happened, and what she learned from them.  She shares questions to ask yourself when you fail and that it’s ok to share your mistakes.   As polished as she is, she is not afraid to get dirty and do the hustle.   She also talks about the ONE pivotal moment that was the GAME CHANGER for her and what true wealth means to her.

Since 2012, she has gone from a one room design studio in Durham, Connecticut to a second location in Bonita Springs, Florida and expanded from being a solopreneur to having a team.  Her background is in commercial design and went on to study interior design at the Paier College of Art.  Her talents take her up and down the east coast of the US, designing multi-million dollar homes.   She is an active member of her community.  She was named a Kentucky Colonel for her missionary work in the eastern mountains of Kentucky.  She is also a best of Houzz recipient in 2013, 2015, 2016 for her design work.  She has been locally and nationally published.  She is a former design host for the local NBC and ABC affiliate.  She has built a business and brand on the motto, “You ask, Lisa listens.”  She believes the best part of her business is building relationships with her clients.
